About Academics
Lectureship in colleges and universities is one of the most prestigious jobs, but hardly 2% of all the applicants get to clear the NET/SET examination. The scenario in Eastern Region is particularly bleak in this respect. To put an end to this sorry state of affairs, a group of academicians from Kolkata’s premier colleges and universities got together and joined hands with some management professionals- and “ACADEMICS” was born in the year 2003.
NET/ SET:
NET examination is conducted twice every year, one in June and the other in December. The candidates are having the opportunity to apply for both Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) & lectureship or for the lectureship only.
Eligibility:
Candidates only who have scored 55% marks (50% for SC/ST) in the Master’s Degree Examination are eligible to appear for the examination.
